Lesson 5: International Standards and Organizations
The SPS Agreement encourages members to harmonize their measures based on international standards. In this lesson, you will be introduced to the three organizations referenced in the SPS Agreement, and you will learn how each of these organizations develops standards. Even though referenced in the SPS Agreement, these standard-setting organizations are independent and do not operate under the control of the SPS Committee or the WTO.
